HMS would like you to meet the two sisters behind-the-scenes at Lundy’s. We had a chance to sit down with Abigail, Abby as we call her:), and Alissa to find out more about these two very motivated, seriously multi-tasking business owners. As director of special events, Abby, and VP, Alissa, they keep extremely busy while finding time for family, fun and of course fashion!
This family owned business has seriously grown over the past thirty years. Today, the corporate umbrella of The Lundergan Group operates Lundy’s Special Events, the premier social and corporate catering division; Lundy’s Sports Hospitality, your premier source for general concessions and hospitality; Celebrations Rental and Décor, The Lundergan Restaurant Group, Lundy’s Banquets-operating facilities at the Kentucky Horse Park, Morehead and Maysville and Emergency Disaster Services- on demand food and beverage support services.

Who has influenced your life and career the most? Why?
My Family…their unconditional love and support is what gets me through each day and is definatley essential when you’re working in a family business. My husband and son are my inspiration, helping me to stay grounded and always striving to be a better person!
Any advice to young women today juggling family and work?
Remember that what doesn’t get finished today, will always be there tomorrow, family should always come first!
What do you love most about what you do?
I love speaking with my customers after their events, and witnessing their amazment in how our company handles each aspect of their event with such enthusiasm and detail…bring dreams to reality is so rewarding!

How do you define style? Any style Advice?
Style is what makes you happy and fills you with confidence. Style shouldn’t be decided by whom wears what or what the latest trends are. It should make you comfortable and fabulous!

What is in your beauty bag?
Kate Sommerville Quench lotion and Chantecaille Aqua Blush
Who has influenced your life and career the most? Why?
I would say my parents who have instilled a dedicated work ethic and a strong sense of family, and I would say my four year old little boy, Harrison; he has taught me to enjoy being me and not to always worry about my career!
Any advice to young women today juggling family and work?
Take it all in stride and don’t try to take on the world!
What do you love most about what you do?
Its ever changing and never boring! There is always a interesting project to work on and intriguing people to meet!
