HORSETAILSTM 2010 Project at LV Harkness is without question one amazing concept! Developed to recognize and honour the relationship between orchestral music and the horse, and increase funding for music education programs for children. Fifty-two artists from around the country were chosen and each given small replicas of a violin and bow. Each artist was assigned an ‘unforgettable, beloved horse’ and has created a work of art representing their assigned horse. There are now fifty-four works of art that make up HORSETAILS 2010TM. The Lexington Philharmonic will auction the HORSETAILSTM 2010 works of art during the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian GamesTM.
We take so many things for granted in life, such as string instruments relying on horse tail hair to produce sound as the bow moves across the strings! HORSETAILSTM is a unuqie, artistic and philanthropic way of getting the community involved in giving back. The All proceeds go to the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra’s Partners in Education, a program benefiting children of Kentucky through music education.

L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional – Magic Perfecting Base is fabulous for drugstore brand. Lightweight and very similar to the more expensive brands – definitely HMS recommended!
Wow! Maybelline New Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup - not bad! The applicator is great for something new and different, but I still needed to blend on my own. However, decent coverage and lightweight as well….still partial to Laura Mercier…but would buy this again in a pinch!
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer - very very lightweight a little too light for me, but nice and could be worn under more foundation.

Perfect timing! HMS expects nothing less than superhaute from the growing accessories line of Biz Ruby! Already a huge fan of her classic-style belts, HMS is now lusting after her gorgeous horse themed scarves on sale just in time for Derby! The print, as Biz states in the herscene.com article, is a Stella McCartney print from the ’90s. Classes are filling up fast!
Class Schedule
- Camp week: Fancy Nancy- .etiquette, tea parties, craft, book time and dress up June 14-18
- Camp week: Pinkalicious- cupcake decorating, crafts, book time and more June 21-25
- Camp week: Superstar- sing, dance, runway, fashion and musical instrument July 12-16
- Camp week: Fairytale- each day a new princess story with craft, singing, make believe, dress up July 19-23
Party Princess offers a ½ day summer camp from 1 to 4 in the afternoon. The camps are one week in length with a different topic as the highlight each week. A small snack is provided each day with a drink. Every day there is a craft, education and a wonderful time planned for each young lady! At the end of the week, each class will perform or present their knowledge to family members.
**Ages 3 to 8 for fancy nancy and pinkalicious
**Up to 10 for superstar and fairytale
