What was seriously making its debut last spring has totally stolen the show for spring fashion 2011….enter the cage bootie. Designers are having fun with this look as well, with some taking on a very dominatrix look, others staying feminine in soft brown hues and some going glam with crystal studs. I’m partial to the softer brown look of the cage bootie, so here are a few options.

What inspired you to own your own med spa?
I think originally I had a mistaken fantasy about being my own boss and getting out of the corporate world. What I’ve grown to find out is it’s not so easy. Surviving through a poor economy for the past few years was hard and stressfull. Having 7-9 employee’s rely on the success of Belle Vie was an eye opener for me. Fortunately God has been faithfull and I thank him every day for Belle Vie’s success. The question is what inspires me now? The staff and the clients inspire me now. There is so much more to the business than vanity and looking good. We’ve gotten to know our clients so personally, living through the good and the bad of their lives with them. We get to share sad moments and special moments with so many women and friends. I feel so blessed to have that opportunity.
What is your solution/suggestion for dry flaky winter skin?
Skinceuticals MicroPeel, it’s instant gratification! We Dermaplane the dry skincells off, lightly peel, then seal and sooth with a Cool Cryotherapy.
Name some of your personal favorite skin care products
I have so many! Elta MD UV Physical 41 is my favorite sunscreen. So many of our clients love it because it is tinted. Obagi Clear is my favorite product to lighten sun spots and SkinCeuticals LHA system is the absolute best for oily skin.
What is in your makeup bag you cannot live without?
Blinc Mascara and Jane Iredale Lip Plumper!

Favorite thing to do on a Saturday night?
Family movie night. My daughters Aubren (23) and Ariele (21) and Ashtyn (11) pick out a movie or two. My husband and I cook or pick up carry out. We all gather in the rec room with Zoey our dog and watch movies.
Best advice someone ever gave you
To learn from a child we must have empathy, and empathy grows as we learn.
