Spring Break…Is Your Body Ready?

There is no big secret to losing weight. It is all about two things: Calories and Activity. Oh wait…and a little thing called WILL POWER! No one has the perfect body. However you can per-fect your own body to a level of ‘fit’ that makes you feel good and healthy! Now I would be lying if I said I diet healthy all the time. No I don’t. I have been known to skip a few (hundred) meals and count every single calorie that I consume…but I have also learned what works and what doesn’t…FOR ME. Having children really helps you figure out exactly what works. Packing on the pounds during pregnancy – willingly or unwillingly – isn’t easy to shed. I have two boys and getting my pre-pregnancy body back was never easy, but I did do it and fairly quickly.
There are so many ‘guides’ out there on how to eat right, how to diet, how not-to-diet, how to count calories the right way, how to exercise, how to spot tone etc…etc….etc…. Here’s the deal – Spring Break roughly 60 days (give or take a few) away and it’s time to get serious. I do suggest counting calories and do something active everyday. And if you are going to be at a luncheon or dinner or event – just say no to the rolls, the butter, the cakes, the mini cupcakes etc…if you have ZERO will power…then the next day (or two) make up for it and be conscious of what you are consuming….and again get active!
Oh and this whole ‘treat yourself after a crazy hard workout’ – NO…DUH! Make smart food choices!
