Project Runway Update

August 10, 2007

My boyfriend (he may not know it, but I am just smitten with Tim!) has a new show premiering in just a few short weeks…

Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style premieres Thursday, September 6th at 10 on Bravo. Tim will be teaming up with the gorgeous Veronica Webb to “lead fashion-challenged women on an emotional journey to unearth their personal style. From wardrobe essentials, tips on how to shop, to finding the right fit, Gunn uses advice from his book, Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality Taste and Style, to arm each woman with the basics to own her look and make it polished and stunning.” Can’t. Wait. For. This. Show.

Nina Garcia’s new book is now available for pre-order. The Little Black Book of Style , an “exploration of attainable elegance” is all about balancing the latest trends with enduring classics & discovering your signature look.

Check out Atelier Dahl for chic custom clothing from last season’s Alison Kelly. Her Dusk and Her Embrace Collection is just stunning as well. See it at AlisonKellyNy.com.
We have a friend who was on the set of Season 4 of Project Runway. He is tight-lipped about the goings-on, but did tell us that there’s quite a bit of drama and some really creative challenges. We can’t wait!

A haute must-read.

Tim Gunn’s new book offers warm and witty fashion advice that is actually useful…discussing every aspect of creating and maintaining your personal style. Edit your closet, get tips on finding the right fit, choose a fashion mentor (not icon) and more.

It’s Top Design Night!

February 7, 2007

Top Design is on Bravo tonight at 10pm.

Check out Tim Gunn’s interview with lead judge, Johathan Adler…and then read his 10 Commandments for a Happy, Chic Home.

Last week, I was glad to see Lisa hit the road, but sad to see Heather say goodbye. Heather seemed like she deferred to Lisa and her poor choices for the Chinese Restaurant-style retreat. After last week’s Alexis Arquette, I can’t wait to see who the guest client is…Alexis was a riot!
